Comment -There is more to this machine.
I wonder if students would be more interested in using technology as a utilility instead of a "game" if they had early experience in using the computer for learning and creating. Yes. Fun is good! But there is also the enjoyment of creative writing and art to be shared.

Art Mola Designs

A grade 4 class had fun doing this project. The students were asked to do an internet search for samples of and information on molas. After the students had developed a sense of mola design characteristics we discussed what makes this art distinctive. The students were asked to choose a character in keeping with the topic and create a design that included an image and surrounding pattern. They coloured the shapes with felts and added sticky dots to make the trademark patterns. Students were then asked to use their paper design as the basis for a paint design. The mola project was particularly easy to recreate in paint
